We created another season of Under the Microscope with Dr Riaad Moosa, a well-loved South African comedian. This time, in light of the many threats South Africa’s democratic bedrock is facing, we did a “Democracy Edition”. Once again there are seven funny, fact-filled episodes, each dealing with a different topic related to protecting our democracy. It’s a case of “if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry”, and Dr Riaad doesn’t disappoint as he infuses his signature brand of comedy into some pretty serious matters

 

In Episode 1 Dr Riaad examines the South African democracy, the freedoms it gives us, and its threats. His diagnosis? We need to be active citizens and protect our democracy.
