Social Media Responsibility Episode 3

Social media has become a hotbed for anger, resentment, and hate speech. What began as a tool to connect people and share ideas has increasingly become a space where division and misinformation thrive. The Twitterverse, in particular, often feels like a battleground of one-sided views, fake news, and sensationalist claims, amplified by echo chambers and algorithms that thrive on emotional triggers. As a content creation studio dedicated to meaningful storytelling and behaviour change, we wanted to highlight this digital phenomenon in a way that ignited self-awareness without sounding preachy or patronising.

That’s how our Angry Birds Social Media Series was born.

We reimagined the iconic Twitter Bird, which was typically a symbol of light and instant connection, as a relatable character whose mood transforms as he scrolls. With every hashtag and viral thread, the once calm and cheerful bird morphs into a rage-fuelled Angry Bird, an avian Mr Hyde whose toxic energy also transforms the world around him. It’s a humorous but familiar reflection of what many users experience when they fall into the trap of death scrolling. By design, social media platforms serve us content that reinforces our biases, often leading to emotional fatigue, stress, and even digital addiction.

Each episode in the series tackles a different aspect of social media behaviour. From the spread of fake news and the dangers of disinformation, to the emotional toll of constant engagement, the series uses playful 2D animation and clever storytelling to keep the message digestible. Our creative goal was to blend sharp humour with a sincere message about online responsibility.

We believe that educational content can also be entertaining. By using simple but powerful visuals and a light-hearted tone, the Angry Birds series encourages viewers to reflect on their online habits, pause before resharing inflammatory content, and step back from the digital chaos.

In a world where outrage gets more reach than empathy and optimism, it’s important to remember that we all have a role to play. Whether you’re a content creator, a digital strategist, or just an everyday user, we each have the power to keep our digital spaces constructive, respectful, and kind.

Because if we’re not mindful of how we consume and share content, we might all end up a little too angry for our own good. And for the good of our society.
